Shortlisted candidates receive an invite to Google's online coding assessment, consisting of 2 complex algorithmic problems testing data structures, dynamic programming, or graph traversal under a 90-minute limit.
A live, 45-minute video interview with a Google Software Engineer. You will solve problem-solving challenges on a shared Google Doc editor, explaining time/space complexity trade-offs.
Another 45-minute technical session deep-diving into algorithms, systems design concepts, edge-case testing, and scalability constraints.
Once cleared by the interview board, your profile enters the host matching pool where managers across Search, Ads, Android, YouTube, or Google Cloud match your skills to an active internship project.
Upon a successful host match, a recruiter extends the official internship package, handles statutory paperwork, background verification, and coordinates cohort onboarding.
